Cocktail tables, also called highboy or bistro tables, give guests a place to set down a drink and talk during a cocktail hour, a wedding reception, or a networking event. Ours have a round white top about 32 inches across and stand 43 inches tall, the standard height for standing guests.
Dress them in a fitted white spandex cover for a clean, upscale look, and add Chiavari barstools for guests who want a seat. Finish the space with a portable or rustic bar and bistro string lights.

How Many Cocktail Tables Do You Need?
Guests stand and move during a cocktail hour, so you need fewer tables than seats. A common guideline is one table per 8 to 10 guests for a cocktail hour, and one per 6 to 8 guests for an all-standing reception:
